Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Open any text document in gedit 2. File > New 3. File > Save OR == 1. Open any text document in gedit 2. File > Open (to open another document in a new tab) Expected Results: In either case, gedit should perform the requested operation (eg, save a new file from a tab, or open another file into a new tab). How often does this happen? Everytime the above procedure is executed. Even after logging out & back in, with no other applications running.
