Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately the information that Windows gives
you here is nearly useless: it basically says "Gimp crashed" and nothing more.
What we probably need, in order to figure it out, is for somebody with access
to a debugger to be able to reproduce the problem -- I assume if you had one on
your system you would have said so. In any case, because other people have not
reported this problem, it seems likely to be language-related. Could you please
specify what locale you are using, and verify that you have installed GIMP and
the latest version of Gtk from the Sourceforge installer? And could you see
whether the crash still happens if you run GIMP with the locale set to "en"?
Comment 3 Piotr Kasprzyszak 2005-02-28 01:18:58 UTC
I am using GIMP version 2.2.3 and GTK version 2.4.14.
I was using locale "pl" for polish. Since I changed the locale to "en" in
system variables the problem does not appear again.

BTW. how do I use a debugger. I am completely new to this but would love to
help?

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, unlike Linux, Windows does not come
with any sort of debugger, and setting one up involves installing either Visual
C++ or some other programming environment, which is nontrivial (and I don't know
how to do it myself). In any case your information makes it clear that this is
a problem with the "pl" locale, which is very helpful.

I cannot reproduce this problem running GIMP on Linux in the polish locale.
Comment 6 Zodarr 2005-04-07 15:01:52 UTC
Same error with Hungarian locale. On exit error message appears. It's annoying...
Version is 2.2.4
