Is it reproducible? It's happened to me a few times now in the same way, but unpredictably. Expected Results: How often does this happen? Every so often, unpredictably. FWIW, this looks similar to the stack trace in bug 136783...
Thanks for reporting this bug. Other problems in the General Ledger have been reported before, see bug#108347 and bug#141287 . Does any of these descriptions fit for your problem as well? You said "pressed TAB to autocomplete" -- do you remember whether there was a pending autocompletion or rather no autocompletion? Can you also please add your exact version number of gnucash? Thanks.
Yes, it is similar to these two reports, but I do not experience it anything like as regularly as reported in bug#141287. I'm using gnucash 1.8.9, Debian version 1.8.9-4.
I can confirm that I have the exact same problem. Running under Ubuntu Breezy 5.10, "Guile-1.6 has crashed due to a fatal error. (Segmentation fault)" GnuCash version 1.8.10.
Believed fixed in r13343.
