Description Luud Heck 2005-02-18 09:09:33 UTC
Distribution/Version: Gentoo

The current implementation allows the user to rename the image files using a
sequential numbering scheme. This is great!

The ordering of the image files, the sort, of the original files can be
selected for this. In my case I always prefer to sort by date/time.

Now, the date/time I'm interested in is de date/time of the image as it is
embedded in the EXIF data, NOT the modification date of the file.

It would be superb if gThumb would allow to sort the files on the EXIF data
when renaming them.

I would love to see even more elaborate EXIF functionality in gThumb similar to
what Exifer can do (which is windows only...)

Sort by Exif DateTime has been added in CVS HEAD (2.9.0).
