Description Jan de Groot 2005-02-10 19:38:49 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Empty directories in zipfiles or tarballs are ignored. I can't find a preference
to disable this. When extracting the file, file-roller seems to call unzip to
unzip the whole file and then the empty directories are recreated. With
drag&drop however, empty directories get lost

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a zip or .tar.gz file with empty directories inside it
2. Open it

Actual results:
Directories are missing. Empty directories containing empty directories are
empty too.

Expected results:
Empty directories should be shown, no matter the contents of them.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
Happens to 2.6.x, 2.8.x and maybe on 2.9.x, The changelogs don't say much about
this issue, so I think it's still unsolved in the upcoming 2.10
