Description Matt T. Proud 2005-01-17 19:34:36 UTC
It would be nice if Nautilus were to support color labeling of files similar to
what Mac OS offers.
Comment 1 Christian Neumair 2005-08-24 22:36:59 UTC
What's the advantage of assigning colors over assigning emblems/keywords? We
could also associate particular text colors with emblems (red for important, for
instance).
Comment 2 Juan Márquez 2006-05-17 04:23:49 UTC
It's pretty cool to be able to recolor the whole icon and label with a color tint. Count me on this.
Comment 3 Matt T. Proud 2006-09-20 23:34:39 UTC
The main reason for this request is as such:

I lack graphical design skills, so the creation of a custom emblem, for whose purpose none of the existing one's maps, would be an unsuccessful task for me. Instead, I could use colors easily to implement my own sorting and categorization regime.
Comment 4 Allan Day 2010-06-05 15:40:42 UTC
I don't think this is the best solution to this problem. Wouldn't tagging be better? In the meantime, we do provide emblems for this purpose. Marking as not a bug.
