Description Samuel Abels 2004-11-20 16:20:19 UTC
It would be nice to be able to save, for example, a downloaded theme directly to
"themes:".

Other information:
I haven't been able to figure a way out for saving files to a gnome-vfs location.
What I did is this:

1. Save As...
2. The fileselector opens.
3. Press CTRL+l
4. Enter "ftp:///myuser:mypass@mysite.org/"
5. Press the OK button
6. Note the error message:

"Could not change the current folder to ftp:///myuser:mypass@mysite.org/:
Can't change to folder because it isn't local"

This should work, I guess. At least that would be pretty cool.

It would be nice if a downloaded theme would be auto-installed, but according to
the gnome art people that's currently not possible.
Comment 2 Samuel Abels 2004-11-22 22:52:55 UTC
Then I would like to think of that as a seperate problem, it was probably a bad
example.
What I meant was more a general problem of saving to any vfs locations. Make
that burn:///, maybe. Or ftp, though this is probably more uncommon. Though I
would have found this quite useful often either.

Saving to non-local gnome-vfs locations requires as yet nonexistent support from
mozilla.
