GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 156973
[Feature request]Open a new tab in a running gnome-terminal
Last modified: 2005-01-03 22:24:43 UTC
If you want to launch a gnome-terminal, when another gnome-terminal is already running, you may just want to open a new tab in the running one, instead of a new gnome-terminal. This is a very convenient for some apps to launch a gnome- terminal. Image that what we do, when gvim is running and we want to edit another file. We use the command "gvim --remote file". This will open a new gvim(if no one running) to edit the file, or open the file in a running gvim.
This is the same request as in bug 83203. Marking as duplicate. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 83203 ***
