GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 155977
Theme management
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Sorry for my english. I'm not a native speeker of english. Gnome-theme-manager ignores the themes installed under /usr/share (or /usr/local/share) when there is a theme of the same name. For example, htpp://art.gnome.org offers Industrial in two package. gtk+ 2.x theme is installed in /usr/share/themes/Industrail/ directory, and Industrial metacity theme in ~/.themes/Industrail/ directory. In this case, gnome-theme-manager ignores Industrial gtk theme and I can see only Industrial metacity theme. I think it would be nice if user's theme inherit the gnome system's theme. In my case, as there is Industrial gtk theme in /usr/share/themes/ Industrial theme and metacity theme in ~/themes/ gnome-theme manager would show Industrial theme in both application and border tab. I don't think this is crictical, but it seems not too hard to fix, or modify. So, this has some priority.
