Create a web album for a group of pictures with comments containing accented
characters (i.e. for the Portuguese language), make sure that you ask that
comments be included in the thumbnail and/or image captions.

The accented characters will improperly render in a browser.  An a with a ' over
it should be translated into á code.  The full list of necessary
character codes for accented characters is:

http://www.starr.net/is/type/htmlcodes.html

gThumb should make the necessary conversions so that the HTML preserves the
accented characters.

This still occurs. Basically, iso-code character escaping for HTML needs to be added.

I believe that this issue has been fixed over in bug 319933.
