GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 154765
Be more robust against applications setting empty mime types
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
If an application puts <MimeType></MimeType> in ~/.recently-used, there's no reason we can't try and detect the MIME type of the file ourself. e.g. in Fedora atm, OpenOffice has a bug that causes it to do this with .xls files: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=123018 Attaching a patch
