Description OwlManAtt 2004-09-13 02:49:40 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: gnome-panel
Severity: enhancement
Version: GNOME2.6.1 2.6.x
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: Using the scroll wheel to switch workspaces
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel
Bugzilla-Component: Workspace Switcher Applet
Bugzilla-Version: 2.6.x
Description:
The gnome workspace switcher should allow you to switch desktops by
holding your pointer over the little applet and scrolling your mouse's
scrollywheel.

By default (debian package, so I don't know if this is your default or
not), there are two gnome bars (one at the top, one at the bottom) that
you can put applets on, and both are thin enough to just be out of the
way. Making either larger would start to be annoying. I have my desktop
switcher on the bottom one, and I *need* six desktops. Each square is
*VERY* small, and generally a huge pain to click. And this is why I
think you should add the ability to change desktops with the
scrollywheel.
