GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 152390
Nautilus should not refer to remote folder connections as "Volumes"
Last modified: 2005-05-14 21:16:55 UTC
I think that "volume" is a confusing word to most users for remote folders (that is, items created by "Connect To Server..."). I suggest "Remote Folder" or "Network Folder" for sftp:// and related URL's. (Nautilus refers to them as Volumes in several contexts, such as when attempting to drag one to the Trash.)
That's the same issue described by bug #159245, at the moment nautilus uses the same mechanism for both devices and shares. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 159245 ***
