I opened a directory; changed the view from default list, to image collection. 
When attempting to change back to the default list view, the view remains as an
image collection.  To close the directory, I press force quit.  

When opening the directory again, I get an error message of "The Image
Collection view encountered an error while starting up."  I click OK & the
directory opens with the default list view.
