GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 148718
tell me why I can't eject a CD-ROM
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable Package: nautilus Severity: enhancement Version: GNOME2.6.1 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: tell me why I can't eject a CD-ROM Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: Desktop Bugzilla-Version: unspecified Description: Please describe your feature request: I imported a mail folder into evolution from a mail folder archived on CD-ROM. When I was done, I asked nautilus to unmount the volume, and it said it couldn't. The "details" thingy just said "device busy". I dropped down to the shell and used lsof to discover that evolution still had the file open (which I should report as another bug, I suppose). It sure would be nice if the file manager did that for me, i.e. reported "cannot unmount this volume while another application is using it; evolution seems to be using it; if you close evolution, unmounting might work." -- Dan Connolly, W3C http://www.w3.org/People/Connolly/ ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2004-07-28 16:00 ------- Unknown platform unknown.
