Gnome-terminal is slow as crap!!

Scrolling and general displaying stuff, compared to other terminals or the
console, is EXTREMELY slow.

Sure, it works and many people won't notice how slow it is, but...

pleeeeeeeease, we are getting tired... gnome-terminal is just too slow.

N.B.: Calling other people's work 'crap' and or whining is not exactly the way
to get things fixed, you know. This 'we' you seem to be part of might want to
try the make-a-patch route some time...
