GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 144181
Playing-song-column wastes space --replace with colored line
Last modified: 2018-05-24 10:32:27 UTC
The rhytmbox browser's this-song-is-playing-column does not seem to contribute much, but only waste screen estate, and could easily be replaced with a more visual colored line or bold+italic-text -scheme.
Using boldface still sounds like a good idea. Just noting that this column is also used to indicate playback errors. There are some plans to use it for other things too: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321607#c1
I would very much like to be able to be able to disable/enable this column just like any other column in Edit->Preferences->Visable Columns. How skilled would one have to be to make such patch?
Can we close this? I cannot see any "this-song-is-playing-column" in 0.11.5 version.
This is the info you are asking for. "this-song-is-playing-column" is the column to the left with the speaker icon in the header. It is still present in 0.11.5
Ah, thanks. Yes it is still there.
