1. new document.
2. add text.
3. select font.
4. move slowly to the bottom of the list after about "vendura italic" the gimp dissapeares (script - fu keeps running and some other gimp stuff) (GUI shutdown)

This version was freshly downloaded and installed today. After that I removed an earlyer version of the gimp.

dear, sven can you tell me what to do to solve it. (don't get bug 101856 completly) and here all of the interface dissapears and no "dos box" pop's up (and stay's up).

Also I'm a little bit a noop in this stuff.

You need to update the Pango library to version 1.4.0 or newer or wait until
someone creates a GIMP installer with this version.

Downloaded "glib-2.4.1.zip" and "pango-1.4.0.zip" from "http://www.mariomotta.it/win-gtk-2.4.1/" and unzipped in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0" (install path of gtk+) and that fixed the bug, thanks.
