GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 143910
Session management doesn't work anymore
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
This bug has been reported in the debian BTS: http://bugs.debian.org/250618 "I get this message in my .xsession-errors file : Error on option --sm-config-prefix: unknown option. Run 'rhythmbox --help' to see a full list of available command line options. Could not initialize GStreamer ! The thing is that rhythmbox has been saved by the gnome (2.6) session management and therefore is tryed to be launched with this option... unfortunately, since it doesn't support it, it just doesn't start on a new session. Note that it worked perfectly before i upgraded to 0.8.4, though I don't know exactly which version I had before..."
This works fine for me. I tested by creating a new user, starting Rhythmbox, saving the session, and logging out.
Just tested on a GNOME 2.7 system, works fine. I'm closing the bug for the moment, I'll reopen if I can reproduce ...
