i'm refering to the menu that shows when i click with the rigth button over the
image for the first time. I'm on a PIII 800Mhz.

I think 3 seconds is a bit too much for the menu to be shown.

This time is now (current CVS) spent before the image window is opened, rather
than the first time the menu is requested. 

This bug is a duplicate of bug #143668 which is now open against the gtk+ product.
