Description Heinrich Rebehn 2004-06-03 14:50:12 UTC
Description of Problem:

Desktop menue lacks entry "create new window"

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start nautilus in browser mode (use gconf setting)
2. Right-click on the desktop background
3. A menue pops up

Actual Results:
The menue lacks the entry "open new window" which
existed in nautilus 2.4

Expected Results:
see above

How often does this happen?

always
Additional Information:
nautilus 2.6.0

Use of the "Home" icon on the desktop is no
solution because it is often hidden by other
(non-nautilus) windows

Please see the discussion in Bug 82463 about this. If you need a shortcut to
open a new window that's always visible, why not create a shortcut in the panel?
Comment 2 Heinrich Rebehn 2004-10-21 10:29:01 UTC
1. Panel is already crowded.
2. Less mouse movements with background menue
3. Why remove a working feature?
