Description Michelle Canfield 2004-05-26 05:08:09 UTC
Create a new image. Click on the add text to image, then click on the font
button. If I click to scroll through the fonts, an error screen appears:
Warning unable to open unicode char map from font file..and it goes on from
there. Different instances there are differnt fonts listed. I think it
depends on how far I get in the list. Closing the error window closes the
program.

I read on another webpage that deleting a font called profont clears up this
problem. I don't have profont on my computer, so this doesn't work for me. I
am running Win XP on a HP computer purchased in March of 2003.

No, this is not related to Profont. It's a problem in Pango that has been fixed
a while ago. You will have to upgrade Pango (or wait till an updated binary
installer becomes available).
