Upon first starting GIMP, if I press the Text button in the main toolbox, then, 
in the Text Options area, select and scroll the list of available fonts using 
the scrollbar, the program simply vanishes.
This happens consistently.
I'm using the following distributions
gtk+-2.2.4-20040124-setup.zip
gimp-2.0.1-i586-setup-1.zip
