Description Chip Floyd 2004-05-05 23:10:32 UTC
Description of Problem:
When dragging and dropping a file or directory
with a space in the path (eg /home/me/My
Stuff/stuff) from nautilus to terminal, the space
is not transfered in a way that a terminal session
handles well. It should include a \ or "'s to
allow the directory name to be handled properly
(eg "/home/me/My Stuff/stuff" or /home/me/My\
Stuff/stuff)

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a directory in nautilus with a space
character in the path
2. Drag a folder to terminal as input to a command

Actual Results:
A "no such file or directory" error caused by the
unhandled space in the name (or manual editing
required)

Expected Results:
Accept directory name gracefully.

How often does this happen?
Always
