If LANG=de_DE@euro the postscript output contains a line like:
0,749 0,750 scale
Changing these two commas manually to dots makes the file printable
If you unset LANG the error disappears.

I got rid of this error by upgrading gimp-print to version 4.2.6

Yes, this is why configure warns you that this will happen unless you upgrade to
4.2.6.
