Description alankila 2004-05-03 16:14:30 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: rhythmbox
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.6.1 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: In library: album selection is lost if artist selection is switched to "All"
Bugzilla-Product: rhythmbox
Bugzilla-Component: Interface
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
Description:
Description of Problem:
When navigating inside the library, I often have both an artist and
album picked as I search for a particular song. In some cases, I end up
with a few songs of a full album being selected, and I would like to
select "All" in the Artist, but keep the Album selected as current to
allow me to see all the songs in this album. (This is especially true
for "Various artists" style albums where the artist is often different
for each song.) Unfortunately, when I click "All" on the artist menu,
the Album menu is reduced to just "All" for a brief moment, then
populated again. Album thus gets "All" selected as well, and I must
navigate the long Album list again to find the same Album I was on a
moment ago. Really cumbersome. The fix is to allow Album to keep its
existing value.
