Open GIMP
Select Text Tool
Click on Font Button
Scroll up or down  or select view as grid
DOS Window Pops Up and program closes.

OS: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 RC1
Outlook 2003 Installed

-- I removed the offending fonts and the problem went away, however Outlook 
prompts to intall these fonts.
