Description ehikory 2004-04-20 09:37:30 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.4.1 2.4.2
Gnome-Distributor: GNOME.Org
Synopsis: Nautilus crashes on reboot
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.2
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
On the first login to X after a reboot, nautilus will crash once or
twice before starting normally. There do not seem to be any ill effects
from this crash, other than annoyance on startup.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Reboot workstation
2. Log in as local user
3. wait for error message

Expected Results:
I expect to be able to log in without an error, as I am able to do
when I log out and log in again.

How often does this happen?
    After each reboot.

Additional Information:
I use the en_IN locale, which does not properly register the use of
UTF8. This is a Debian sarge system (up to date as of 2004-04-20).

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus'

(no debugging symbols found)...Using host libthread_db library
"/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".

Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in
determining the cause of the crash. Please make sure that the package was
compiled with debugging symbols and see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/getting-traces.cgi for more information about useful
stack traces.
