Description Christophe Saout 2004-03-19 13:26:13 UTC
I've built the gnome 2.6-rc1 desktop from the bmg-gnome-current Gentoo ebuilds.

The desktop icons (trash, computer, home) are alle shown with a lock symbol
in the upper right corner. This happened when migrating from Gnome 2.4 and
when starting without existing config files.

I've no clue what's going on. nautilus problem or global gnome-vfs install
mistake or...?

I am also having this problem..here is a more detailed version of what happens

Create A new user.
Desktop icons show no emblems.
Add a file not owned by the user(usally owned by root) into the home dir.
Lock emblems apear over the home dir folder, trash, computer, and any mounted drives.
Removing the file from the home dir does not correct the emblems.

The emblems do not apear on the directorys in question when viewed from inside
of nautilus..just on the desktop.

I can confirm this issue with Gnome 2.6.0 (the final release). On my desktop, I have lock symbols
on my Home folder, Trash, and Computer icons.
