control-center-2.5.3-preferred.patch

* Fixes drop down menu options
  "Mozilla/Netscape 6" was removed because "mozilla" really does not
  describe netscape. Note that the options in this part of the patch
  are really Fedora specific, so modify it however you want for generic
  GNOME.
* Fixes s/needs_terminal/need-terminal/ typo
  Very few things actually read this key, but might as well fix this too.
* Changes http, https, and unknown keys rather than just http key
  This is the cause of many issues like "I set a preferred browser or
  mail client" but it still uses the old default problems.

This patch is against control-center-2.5.3.
Comment 1 Warren Togami 2004-03-17 11:15:28 UTC
It turns out that "needs_terminal" is correct while need-terminal in
the default gconf schema (from GNOME 2.0 until today) is what needs to
be changed. I am redoing the patch and splitting off the Fedora
specific stuff when I wake up.

Much apologies, the I have reversed my opinion in the previous
comment. Please see details here. Patches are forthcoming.

Probably too late for GNOME 2.6, but put here for tracking purposes.
