Description J. Gardner Biggs 2004-01-30 14:08:01 UTC
This behaviour is not compliant with the freedesktop.org specificaiton for
icon themes.

All other stock icons are found correctly.
Comment 1 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-01-30 18:00:23 UTC
Latest versions of gnome-icon-theme simply install icons in the
hicolor dir. Isnt this the case on your system ?
Comment 2 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-01-30 18:28:16 UTC
If I guess correctly your garnome will install the add-bookmark icon
as hicolor, and so the redhat theme will not be used. If this is the
case please close as INVALID.
Comment 3 J. Gardner Biggs 2004-01-30 22:43:25 UTC
The problem is that epiphany is falling back/looking to the gnome
theme for the icon, not hicolor. If you copy the icon from the
/hicolor dirs to the gnome dirs it displays.

I guess I need more detailed infos. Your gtk version, your
gnome-icon-theme version, the path of the file it's actually displayed.
Comment 5 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-01-30 23:04:24 UTC
And while you are at it, what theme are u using ?
Comment 6 J. Gardner Biggs 2004-01-31 02:26:36 UTC
gtk-2.3.1
gnome-icon-theme-1.1.4
epiphany-1.1.3
icon theme: ximian-south-1.3.6

No icon (just the square with the red "x") was displayed until I moved
the 16x16, 24x24, and 32x32 versions of stock_add-boomark.png from:

/opt/gnome-2.5.2/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/stock/object
to
/opt/gnome-2.5.2/share/icons/gnome/16x16/stock/object

and 24x24, and 32x32.
