It seems to only affect the Gnome graphical interface. Regular non-graphical prompts are unaffected. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. sorry, I wish I knew(?) 2. 3. Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? daily Additional Information: I have a 1.6 Ghz P4 processor with 256 MB RAM which I can't imagine is overloaded by a few Mozilla windows and some Emacs programmes running. It doesn't seem to correspond to memory use or processor time, which I keep an eye on. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 16384 (LWP 1056)] 0x408437f7 in waitpid () from /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. There were a number of 2.0.6 era gnome-panel crashes with a stack trace that looked like this one (which have been fixed) and there hard to tell apart.
