Description Calum Benson 2004-01-16 13:18:31 UTC
Applets normally should normally have a "Preferences" menu item rather than
a "Properties" menu item. Can't see any reason not to follow suit here :)

Not a problem. I will fix it. Is this in HIG?
Comment 2 Calum Benson 2004-01-16 17:04:40 UTC
Unfortunately I don't think it is yet-- the HIG really needs to say a
lot more about applets.

The rough guideline is that "Properties" is only used for objects that
would normally have multiple instances at a time, each with their own
settings. (E.g. panels-- hence there is a "Panel Properties" dialog.)
So unless it's normal to run multiple instances of the gswitchit
applet each with its own settings, then I would recommend
"Preferences" here.

OK, fixed, will be in CVS on Monday
Comment 4 Dave Neary 2004-01-21 09:37:06 UTC
Changing gswitchit bugs to the libgswitchit component of gnome-applets.
