Description of Problem:
If a result greater than 1000 is produced on the gnome calculator and
show thousands seperator is toggled to on, the resultant calculation
shows the result mod 1000.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. enter 40 * 50
2. click =
3. choose 'show thousands seperator'
4. result is set to '000', the 2 is cut off

Actual Results:

000

Expected Results:
2000

Always if 'show thousands seperator' is selected.

I assume you mean v4.3.29 above?
Could you try the latest version (4.3.37)
and see if that fixes the problem
(it should)?  Also, what locale are you
running in? Thanks.

I believed this is a duplicate of bug #130282
and I've closed it as such. If this is not the 
case, and it's still a problem in v4.3.38 of 
gcalctool (or later), then please just reopen it.
