Description John Fleck 2004-01-13 03:29:23 UTC
The documentation's discussion of "input mode" says how to change it, but
doesn't say what "input mode" is.

Testing 4.3.31

Hi John,

you're right! When I asked my developer colleagues about this when
writing the manual, I was told:

"This is common to all gtk_text_view and gtk_field widgets - so if we
had one, it would be good to document this in gtk+ user guide".

Rich actually suggested that we should omit this section from the
gcalctool manual to avoid confusion, as the average user is probably
not interested anyway.

I tend to agree with Rich -- what do you think?

Regards,
Breda.
Comment 2 John Fleck 2004-01-13 13:52:06 UTC
Wow, I never even noticed. I've been clicking all over my desktop and
they've all got it. So yeah, I guess there's no profit in spending a
lot of time documenting in this one spot. I'd go ahead and pull it out.
Comment 3 Breda McColgan 2004-01-13 13:55:16 UTC
Okay, I'll remove that section when making the updates for GNOME 2.6.
Comment 4 Luis Villa 2004-02-05 14:12:29 UTC
Adding the doc keyword.
Comment 5 Breda McColgan 2004-02-07 23:17:12 UTC
Text removed from Calculator manual V2.7, now in CVS HEAD.
