Description Eckhard Lehmann 2004-01-12 20:26:57 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.4.1 2.4.1
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: nautilus crashed while trying to remove the Trashcan of KDE
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.1
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I am using KDE sometimes and when I come back to Gnome afterwards, there
is a directory "Trashcan" on my nautilus desktop. After an upgrade of
some gnome libraries (hopefully the debugging informations are helpfull,
I have no idea which libraries were updated since this is done
automatically with debian), I tried to remove the trashcan directory and
nauilus crashed

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. log into KDE
2. logout from KDE and into Gnome
3. remove the appearing trashcan directory

Expected Results:
successfully remove the directory (even better would be if KDE and Gnome
would share only one trashcan directory somehow so that there is no need
for a second one...)

How often does this happen?
first time

Additional Information:
using debian testing with the whole of gnome from debian unstable.
Upgrade, however, was made from the testing branch.

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus'
