Description Tom McLaughlin 2004-01-12 02:34:21 UTC
When using gnome-remote-desktop to connect to another machine via XDMCP, I
enter the host name or IP address of the remote machine and click connect.
Doing so causes the program to exit. The following is what is returned on
the terminal:

[tom@athens tom]$ gnome-remote-desktop
on_btnConnect1_clicked
[tom@athens tom]$

This behavior happens only while the gnome-remote-desktop window is in
"Less" display mode. If I click the "More" button and try and connect a
nested X session is started.

Program version:
1.99.5

How to repeat:

1) run `gnome-remote-desktop`
2) enter IP or hostname of remote host
3) click connect
4) window should then exit and PID will no longer be running
5) rerun `gnome-remote-desktop`
6) click "More"
7) click connect
8) a nested X window will now appear

Had a chance to look at this again on Gnome 2.6 RC1. and this is still
an issue that needs to be resolved.

gnome-remote-desktop is not develped anymore. You should take a look to vino.
