This is what happens when I try to build gnome-applets in a clean tree:

checking for libxklavier >= 0.95... Package libxklavier was not found in
the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libxklavier.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libxklavier' found
configure: error: Upcoming releases of gnome-control-center will depend on
libxklavier.
The latest release is available from
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gswitchit
*** error during stage configure of gnome-applets: could not configure
module *** [1/1]

This happens during configure just after checking GTOP_APPLET_LIBS

Is gnome-applets supposed to depend on libxklavier? If so, I can
update jhbuild.
