Description gnome 2004-01-04 16:54:26 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: rhythmbox
Severity: critical
Version: GNOME2.4.1 0.6.3
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: Rhythmbox crashes when the notification icon is lost.
Bugzilla-Product: rhythmbox
Bugzilla-Component: CORBA interface
Bugzilla-Version: 0.6.3
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
Gnome reports a segfault when the notification icon is lost, in case of
Gnome panel crashes.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Start rhythmbox and play a song. Let the main interface displayed.
2. Kill the Gnome panel and wait for it to finish restarting.
3. If rhythmbox hasn't crashed, use the main interface. *Boom*

Expected Results:
Rhythmbox should either respawn the icon or ignore its absence.

How often does this happen?
Everytime I reproduce a panel crash (sure it doesn't happen everyday on
its own).
