Description Ben Bucksch 2003-12-08 01:24:04 UTC
I tried to use a GnuCash "currency account" for a bank account in a foreign
currency. Made sense to me, but I wasn't able to set the exchange rate, if
I received money on that account and wanted to book it against my EUR-based
income account (e.g. "salary"). The EUR account kept either a 0-value or
the $-value in EUR (i.e. excahnge rate 1), and I didn't find a way to
change it. warlord on IRC told me to use a "bank account", and now it
works. This is not obvious and not documented, please do so.

Bug 128776 is an alternative to this bug.
Comment 2 Andreas Köhler 2006-03-05 13:10:18 UTC
SVN hides the currency account type for some time now, is this resolved?

Same for bug 128776.
