GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 128518
enable the SVGPrint backend
Last modified: 2006-12-03 14:55:53 UTC
It would be extremely helpful if gnome-print could both print SVG graphics and print to SVG graphics (like it does to postscript and PDF). ie Make a SVG representation of the presented document.
May be I can write the appropriate code. Anyway, I need this feature for GChemPaint and it is already on my TODO list. I suppose I can find some time for that in april or may.
A first draft of an svg backend has been added to cvs head (but it does not compile by default).
you can currently print *to* a SVG, provided that you enable the backend (it is not enabled by default). you cannot currently print *a* SVG without rasterizing first, but that's librsvg's domain, not libgnomeprint's. updating title to reflect status of bug.
dom : What's the status of the svg backend. Is it 2.10 material ?
any news on this? is this still an issue or can this be closed as obsolete?
I just filed Bug 357655, which probably obsoletes this bug now that gnome-print is to be phased out...
Yeah, I think we'll close this one out then.
