Description chasuk 2003-12-03 07:44:40 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 1 (Yarrow)
Package: sound-juicer
Severity: blocker
Version: GNOME2.4.0 0.5.5
Gnome-Distributor: GNOME.Org
Synopsis: Application Crash
Bugzilla-Product: sound-juicer
Bugzilla-Component: ripping
Bugzilla-Version: 0.5.5
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
In preferences, I selected FLAC, and was informed that the FLAC encoder
was not installed. The FLAC and mp3 options then became "greyed out."
Shortly after, the program crashed spontaneously.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Selected preferences.
2. Selected FLAC (which was available as a selection, but apparently
not installed).
3. Spontaneous crash.

Expected Results:
Graceful "FLAC not installed" message, then option to select another
encoding method without program failure.

How often does this happen?
Every time that I tried it (on three occasions).

Additional Information:
I am using Fedora Core 1.

For what it's worth, this appears to be a unique stack trace according
to the simple-dup-finder.

Really old code base and I haven't seen a duplicate for ages.
