GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 127559
Drag-n-drop task creation
Last modified: 2012-02-19 16:55:46 UTC
It would be handy to be able to create tasks in Evolution by dragging a mail, file or link into the tasks folder. See Ximian Bug #4006. This bug is part of the Integrated Collaborative Desktop Bounty Hunt. For more information on prizes, contest rules, and other bounty tasks, visit: http://www.gnome.org/bounties/ If you would like to start working on this bounty, please create a bugzilla account and append your intention to work on this bounty to this bug. If multiple people declare their intentions to work on a task, we encourage you to join forces and work together. Please do not close this bug. The contest organizers will mark this bug as FIXED when the prize is claimed.
Please see http://www.gnome.org/bounties/Tasks.php3#127559 for more information.
Is someone actually working on this one ? Because if not I might be intrested.
From ximian bug 4006: Dragging an Email to the Tasks folder should prompt to create a new task with the text of that email in the description. Similarly, dragging a Task/Email to the calendar should prompt to create a new appointment --- The userinterface has been considerably changed since this bug was filled so i am curious for which widgets i should handle a drop receive. I guess doing this on both the buttons that select the view and the view widget itself would be best, right ?
I've started working on this, but hadn't posted my interest yet, as I'm still figuring out drag'n'drop ;-)
Alright, i've got this VERY near finished, drag-n-drop works, task creation is almost working as it should be. I now support message/rfc822 and text/plain as drop target. Should i add more ?
I've been busy for a while with real life issues, but i am still working on this one!
Dennis Smit. are you still working on this. What is the status?
Is there anyone currently working on this?
