Description david.hawthorne 2003-11-04 15:26:59 UTC
using a gnome-2.4 build from 03/11/03

-launch gnopernicus with speech enabled
-open 'sound preferences' control center applet
-go to 'sound events' tab
-<tab> to the 'sound:' table

expected:
gnopernicus reports something like 'sound, table, X items'

actual:
gnopernicus reports 'table column header'

I think this is higher than priority 4 - since the output you get is
not terribly useful.

Comment 3 remus draica 2003-11-10 10:57:43 UTC
Previous patch will have effect only after a make install command,
then a Default Preferences.../Presentation command.

Comment 4 Andrew Sobala 2003-11-14 01:58:14 UTC
Why was this needinfo?
Comment 5 remus draica 2003-11-14 06:41:39 UTC
The patch reports the table headers, not "table xxx, x items" as
requested. The NEEDINFO state was to ask the reporter if this patch is
ok (it behaviour is ok).
Comment 6 david.hawthorne 2003-11-14 10:20:49 UTC
If only headers are reported, the user will not know what type of
widget it is. Although better than what it was originally, I'd still
expect it to behave like most others - i.e. '<name>, <type>, <status>'.
Comment 7 remus draica 2003-11-18 13:22:09 UTC
Patch committed to CVS head.

Because the column header has focus, in my oppinion to report this
info is correct behaviour, not to present information about entire table.
Comment 8 david.hawthorne 2003-12-04 16:22:25 UTC
Currently gnopernicus is reporting all column headers when one is
selected. I think gnopernicus should be able to distinguish and report
the information of separate headers.

Comment 11 david.hawthorne 2004-01-21 10:14:04 UTC
Raising AP value. Current feedback is meaningless as one can cannot
isolate a particular column header to achieve context in a table.
