Description supraexpress 2003-10-16 07:30:52 UTC
With Gnome-2.0 under Solaris9-X86 and Gnome-2.4 (and earlier) under
FreeBSD-5.1, gnome-terminal windows with multiple tabs (xterm sessions)
loose their sizing information between Gnome desktop sessions and default
to some smaller window in a new session. Single tab/xterm session windows
retain their window size between Gnome sessions.

It would appear that the "Gnome shut down process" fails to properly record
the last size information for multiple-tab gnome-terminal windows, or, the
size information is recorded but ignored upon a new Gnome desktop session.

Under Gnome-2.0/Solaris9-X86, Metacity is the active window manager. Under
Gnome-2.4/FreeBSD-5.1, Sawfish is the active window manager.
