When the this active option of auto hidden, I you move an applet or icon
within the panel and salts of the area of the panel, this are hidden but
the option to move continues being active.  The normal thing is that during
the action to move car it was not hidden.

  when dragging objects on the panel.
  (panel_widget_applet_drag_end): enable autohide when dragging
