Description huzheng 2003-09-08 14:22:35 UTC
When user selected some text in gnome terminal, and Ctrl-V in another
application, the word will copied there, but when use click some blank
space in gnome terminal to make these text unselected, and Ctrl-V again,
the old selected text is still copied there. The old selection is not
really cleaned.
Gtk1.2 's text widget have this problem too, but Gtk2's textview fixed this
problem. I hope gnome terminal fix this problem too.

It seems to be not so important, but when you are using some software like
StarDict, which scan the selection internally, the unselected information
is important for it.

Oh, i was expressing my meanning in the wrong way. I was means
Middle clicking the mouse button, but not the Ctrl-V. So it is
selection not being cleaned, not clipboards.
