Description of Problem:

Gnome panel crashes when item in quick launch is selected to execute. 
This same error occurs when selecting one of the items in the
active/inactive window.


Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start any application
2. choose either quick launch or active/inactive items in the panel
3. 

Actual Results:

Crashes and restarts the panel

Expected Results:

No crash

How often does this happen?

3 to 4 times a day (about 8 hours period)
