GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 114688
Received an error message when logging in.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: acme Severity: normal Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: Received an error message when logging in. Bugzilla-Product: acme Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: I changed my mouse to a ps/2 type wheel mouse which it is. The belkin switch I use to switch between two different machines (with the same mouse, keyboard, and monitor) seems to cause the mouse to go ape shit when it is configure as a ps/2 wheel mouse and when I switch back to this linux box. If I configure it as a regular 3 button mouse, which it is not, it works fine and I can switch back and forth all day long. Anyway, I switched it back to a 3 button generic ps/2 mouse, rebooted (which is the only simple way I have seen in this God forsaken release to reboot the x server) and relogged in to gnome on a regular user account. This is when I received the error message. I was asked if I wanted to submit a bug report. So here it is. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. See above. 2. 3. Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? First time. Additional Information: Not sure if this is much of a real problem yet. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 16384 (LWP 2759)] 0x4084b7f7 in waitpid () from /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0
