Description Joachim Breitner 2003-06-04 21:32:34 UTC
My wish:

Allow to create schedueled invoices, that will be created automatically by
gnucash every once in a while (just like schedueled transactions).

Usage examples might be:
 * Membership fees
 * Subscriptions
 * Pocket Money from the parents :-)

fix the version
Comment 2 Jamie Caplan 2004-04-01 04:24:33 UTC
I send out monthy invoices for one client, pretty much the same except for changes in the notes and
some line items.

The ability to duplicate/schedule invoices interests me as well.
Comment 3 Rob Jervis 2009-01-25 18:35:06 UTC
I also send invoices like this, every week, month, year and every other year. EG: Domain Hosting etc. I would very much like to see this feature added.

Sorry for submitting the duplicate. I'd searched for "recurring invoices" before creating my bug. Should have thought to check "scheduled invoices".

Anyway, this would be very useful for my charity.
Comment 6 heller 2010-11-02 19:27:02 UTC
I too would be interested in a scheduled / recurring invoice feature.

I've noticed there is no way to assign customers into specific groups which you
could then assign a scheduled transaction for the group rather than needing to
schedule a task for each customer.

It would also be nice to have mass invoicing where you could print invoices for
anyone that has a balance in a specific group or what not.

Lets assume I have a business where I have 400+ customers of which some are
billed monthly, some quarterly and a few yearly. When gnucash lets me know my
monthly billing has been done I can merely click on the group to print all my
invoices without printing invoices for the quarterly or yearly customers again.

I can think of many businesses that would benefit from this functionality and
would love to see it introduced in the future.

At this time I would like to thank all the developers for their time in
creating/maintaining this great product.

Previously I had opened a new thread regarding this but I was instructed in IRC it would be more beneficial to put the contents here instead.

We use Gnucash for our not for profit charity, it's been great so far, thank you! The scheduled transactions are a great idea but there is still currently no way to assign a scheduled invoice to a particular customer. We run a child sponsorship program where people are charged the same day each month for the same amount, at the moment we are typing them in one by one to each donor but it is very labor intensive for our volunteers. Is there any chance this feature might be worked on? Did anything come about from the funding listed above? Thank you!

Hi, As far as I am aware this has not been done, I logged my interest in 2009. I would like to start using GnuCash but could do with this feature. I may be willing to make a donation to help make this happen, if there was interest from other donors and a developer was interested.
Comment 14 Luis Watts 2013-09-30 20:52:51 UTC
I also would like very much to see this feature added as I need to do annual invoices for over 100 homeowners in my homeowners association and have to do them mostly from scratch each year.
Comment 15 Sudarsan 2014-05-28 02:49:49 UTC
Hi,

I couldn't find this option (schedule recurring invoices) in latest stable release (2.6.3) too.

Can someone let me know whether this is planned in future versions?

Is it possible to get this feature if I build (make) from source?

This feature would really be useful for us as we raise invoices every month towards fee collection.

Thanks,
Sudarsan

Developers:

I would like to add my wishes to implement scheduled invoices. All my invoices could be scheduled, and it would make my life extremely simpler.

Thanks for your consideration,

Jim
